Never forget Mr. White's vision for Pollard-McCall Jr. High School

"No one cares how much

you know until they

know how much you care"

Mr. Hugh Jackson White, who was the principal from 2006-2015 of Pollard-McCall Jr. High School.  He started kindergarten at Pollard-McCall Jr. High School in 1979 and graduated from the 9th grade in 1989.  He then graduated from Flomaton High School in 1992.  Mr. White earned an associate's degree from Jefferson Davis Community College in 1994 and a bachelor and mater's degree from the University of West Florida.

Mr. White began teaching 6th-8th grade math and science at Pollard-McCall in 1997.  He also coached junior varsity basketball and volunteered many hours coaching Buck Jones boys' and girls' basketball.

In February of 2006, Mr. White became principal and he began to carry out his vision for Pollard-McCall.  As principal, he shared his vision of PMJHS being a community school with the after-school and summer programs which were all very successful and beneficial to the parents and students.

His wife Traci became a teacher at Pollard-McCall after his passing, and together they have three children:

Mattie, Hugh Jackson "Jack", and Abbie.

There were three things that were important in Mr. White's life and that he loved with all he had, and they were in this order:  GOD, HIS FAMILY, AND POLLARD-MCCALL JR HIGH SCHOOL.  He may be gone but will never be forgotten.  Mr. White came up with his own quote, "DON'T LET YOUR PRESENT FAILURES PREDICT YOUR FUTURE SUCCESSES."

MAY WE NEVER FORGET!

ONCE A WOLF...ALWAYS A WOLF
